| StrandecTM Roof Formers
shall be laid directly on the square cut ends being supported
on the purlins and every panel having at least one purlin
at the centre of the panel.
• The ends are butted against long tail fixing clips
with at least two numbers per panel. The edges should have
a minimum bearing of 25mm on the purlin.
• The metal edges can be fixed to purlins with Drive
screws two numbers on all corners of the panel ends.
• Fillet welding the fixing clips attached to the panel
one per panel in the centre secures the panel to the purlin.
A layer of Aluminium foil can be placed on top of the former
as a vapor barrier where required especially for Metal roof
membranes.
• For the Standing Seam Metal roof membrane the concealed
seam clip is attached to the ends of the panel and snug fitted
to the purlin. The Metal Roof is inserted in the concealed
seam clip on the top and the top end of the crest is seamed
by first crimping and later on heat sealing.
• Cement screeding can be done as per standard practice
after placing a glass fiber matt on the StrandecTM
Roof Former to act as reinforcement for the screed to be placed
on top.
• Concrete slabs can be placed as per standard practice
after placing the slab clips to the panel to integrate it
with the concrete.
• In both the cases for screeding and concrete placement
subsequent water proofing has to be done on top. |
